Partnerships and Sponsors

This is where I feel Green Team may have struggled alot. Finding sponsors/partnerships was extremely difficult and we barely got a response from anyone let alone did any of our actions prove fruitful.

Having said that, we did receive a portion of money from the Coles gift card Carly received and she put that to good use buying a few prizes for our team. It may not have been the most desirable offering from a company but it was certainly respected. With regards to any other companies, we did not receive any products (although we were offered bread from Strath Village Baker's Delight, which we unfortunately did not need!)

The main idea here is that we needed a more hands-on, local approach when it came to partnerships. If we had a better relationship with the school then we could have prompted the parents and local community for their input. I understand the local IGA was very helpful with regards to Carly's shopping!

Having said this, if we were to attempt another Healthy Activity Day, we would look outside the box in regards to partnerships. We could focus on local families, our own communities and those in surrounding areas. Advertising at the local supermarket for sponsors would be a cost-effective way to find partners.

Our day at Rushworth ran well despite the lack of partnership support which is something that we are really proud of. Not having strong partnerships certainly did not detract from the success of our day yet we would strongly consider more forceful communication (sending multiple letters, calling and speaking to management) next time we would attempt a day like this.
